Centre of Vocational Excellence in
Welding and
Non-Destructive Testing.
The Center for Vocational Excellence in Welding and Non-Destructive Testing, known as COVE-WENDT, was launched on April 3 and 4, 2024, during an event held at ISIM TIMIŞOARA. Funded by the ERASMUS-EDU-2023-PEX-COVE program, this project marks a significant step forward in the field of welding and non-destructive examinations.
The launch event was attended by 28 distinguished participants, including leaders from the International Institute of Welding (IIW), representatives from the European Federation for
Welding, Joining and Cutting (EWF), cluster directors, research institutions, associations and owners of industrial companies. Furthermore, renowned professors, researchers and experts in the
field of welding and non-destructive examinations contributed to the discussions.
The ISIM TIMIŞOARA delegation present at the event included Nicușor-Alin SÎRBU, general director of the institute, Alin Constantin Murariu, project manager, Alexandra-Codruta Conia, economic
director, and Aurelia-Ioana BIHOLAR , legal consultant and public procurement specialist. Their participation highlighted the institution's commitment to the success and development of COVE-WENDT.
