Event of CoVEs

In the period of September 10-13, 2024, a delegation from the ISIM Timișoara participated in the event "Forum on Vocational Excellence - COVE 2024" organized at EUREXPO LYON in France. The event brought together Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) from various European countries that are implementing ERASMUS-type COVE projects.

During the event, participants had the opportunity to present the results achieved so far in their CoVE projects, develop new international partnerships, and expand their collaboration network with vocational training centers (VET), research institutes, universities, and industrial companies.

The main objective of ISIM Timișoara's participation in this event was to increase the visibility of the research and development infrastructure that will serve as a "Living Lab" within the activities of the COVE-WENDT project, as well as to strengthen partnerships using the "Quadruple Helix" model, in order to stimulate local and regional innovation in the welding sector.

The event featured workshops on topics such as Industry 4.0 and the future of transportation, energy transition and sustainable cities, digital sovereignty, data management, and the challenges of ecological and societal transition. Additionally, there were cross-cutting workshops on topics like AR/VR adaptation for CoVEs, mobility for Centres of Vocational Excellence, project management, applied research in VET, and educational innovation.

The participants actively engaged in presentations and discussions, sharing their expertise and exchanging best practices in the field of CoVEs. These activities contributed to the professional development of the participants, including project managers, teachers, and VET institution leaders.

The participation in the "Forum on Vocational Excellence - COVE 2024" event has reinforced project partners commitment to contributing to the development of the competence ecosystem at the European level through the COVE-WENDT project and active participation in relevant events.
