Centre of Vocational Excellence in
Welding and
Non-Destructive Testing.
Recently, an outstanding event was organised in Genova, Italy as part of the COVE-WENDT project, ERASMUS-EDU-2023-PEX-COVE no. 101143944, a collaboration aimed at improving competencies in welding and non-destructive testing.
From September 23-27, 2024, the project partners take part in the "International Campus for teachers and trainers / future trainers 2024", event hosted by the Italian Welding Institute (IIS)
in Genoa, Italy.
During this International Campus, participants had the opportunity to learn about the latest developments in welding and non-destructive testing, exchange experiences and best practices, as well as improve
their skills in digitization and greening of manufacturing processes.
The event represented an informal school, through which partners could train and develop essential skills to become successful trainers within the COVE-WENDT project.
The participation in this international campus strengthens partners position as centres of excellence in welding and non-destructive testing, ensuring their access to the newest
industry knowledge and tools.
We are confident that the gained experience will significantly contribute to the improvement of training programs and the competencies of future professionals in the field.
