Centre of Vocational Excellence in
Welding and
Non-Destructive Testing.
Between 17 - 18.10.2024 a delegation from ISIM Timisoara, coordinator of the ERASMUS-EDU-2023-PEX-COVE project entitled: "Centre of Vocational Excellence in Welding and Non-Destructive Testing", acronym COVE-WENDT, participated in the 75th Anniversary of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics at the University of Miskolc.
The event included workshops and exchange of best practices. ISIM Timisoara delegates
participated in the section entitled: "Material Structure and Material Technology", chaired
by Prof.
Dr. János Lukács, which took place in Building A/1, 2nd Floor, Room X. Within this section
Dr. eng. Dr. Alin Constantin MURARIU made a presentation on "Introduction of the
Romanian R&D Institute for Welding and Material Testing common projects with the University
of Miskolc".
On this event, the results obtained so far within the COVE-WENDT project were presented, as
well as the research infrastructure within the ISIM Timisoara laboratories, which will be
used as
"living labs" within the COVE-WENDT project, both for training and for testing innovative
solutions in the field of welding and non-destructive testing.
These actions were aimed at creating new international partnerships for future European
projects, as well as expanding its own network of partners. Thus, it is intended to expand
collaboration
with other training centres, research institutes and universities, industrial companies and
other stakeholders in the "Quadruple Helix" to support the development of regional skills
ecosystems.
