International Welding & NDT Competition

Following the intense national selection rounds across Europe, the journey reached its spectacular climax at the International Welding & NDT Competition.

Hosted by ISIM Timișoara in Romania, this event brought together the national winners from Spain, Italy, Hungary, and Romania for a high-level demonstration of technical mastery.

A Hub of Innovation and Precision The laboratories at ISIM Timișoara were transformed into a vibrant arena of professional excellence. Junior and professional welders, alongside NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) operators, competed in an environment defined by safety, rigor, and technical creativity.

The competition was not merely about winning; it was a platform for:
Technical Rigour: Showcasing advanced skills in complex welding processes and precision testing.
Knowledge Exchange: Enabling participants and industry leaders to share best practices and innovative approaches to modern manufacturing challenges.
Infrastructure Excellence: Utilizing top-level R&D infrastructure, supported by the dedicated technical teams at ISIM.

The success of this international final was made possible through the transparent evaluation standards set by our partners and judges. We also extend our sincere gratitude to our sponsors, MRC Welding SRL and NAMICON TESTING SRL, whose generosity provided the high-value prizes that further motivated our competitors to reach for excellence.

Building a Stronger Community The result of this gathering is a stronger, more connected European community. We have established new collaboration networks and taken concrete steps toward innovation in Vocational Education and Training (VET). The projects presented during these days serve as a benchmark for the quality and skill levels we aim to foster throughout the COVE-WENDT project.

Congratulations to all the international finalists for their exemplary commitment. We are already looking forward to future editions and continuing our work with this exceptional community!
