of the COVE-WENDT Project
Centre of Vocational Excellence in
Welding and
Non-Destructive Testing.
The COVE-WENDT project achieved remarkable success during the “Angajatori de TOP” event in Timișoara on the 24th and 25th of October 2025. Organised by CCIAT in close collaboration with ISIM Timișoara, this edition of the job fair served as a vital platform to showcase project outcomes and align vocational training with the real-world needs of the modern industry.
With the global shift towards a greener and more digital economy, the event focused on the essential skills
required for today’s labour market. Dedicated information sessions provided career guidance to students,
job seekers, and professionals looking to reskill. The sessions highlighted how mastering green technologies
and digital tools creates high-value employment opportunities and facilitates meaningful career changes.
Digital Resources and Skills Validation A key highlight of the event was the presentation of the COVE-WENDT collaborative platform.
Defining the Skills for a New Era As the welding and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) sectors undergo a dual
economic transition, the demand for updated training has never been higher.
This digital hub offers:
• Educational Resources: A comprehensive Learning Management System (LMS) featuring specialised online courses.
• Skills Validation: A unique opportunity for individuals to validate prior learning and certify skills acquired informally or non-formally—a crucial step for professional recognition.
The fair fostered high-quality interactions between candidates, VET experts, and leading employers. There was a significant
surge in interest for vocational pathways and reskilling, reflecting a widespread desire for professional adaptation in an
evolving sector. The counselling and skills validation sessions, in particular, received exceptional feedback from participants.
